The CEO of the Lancia brand, Luca Napolitano, says that 2022 was once again a record year for Lancia Ypsilon. "After four generations, more than three million units sold, and 36 special series, the Lancia fashion city car confirms its leadership in its segment in Italy, remains the second best-selling car overall on the market, and gets the best market share ever. A record-setting car for sure, with 38 years of success and 11 years in a row on the podium in segment B."

With almost 41,000 registrations (40,991), the Lancia Ypsilon continues to lead the B segment, making it the best-selling car in its class for the fourth year. It is also the second best-selling car on the Italian market, with a 15.3% share, the best ever and up +1.2 percentage points from 2021. Lancia got 3.1% of the market, up +0.1 percentage points from 2021.

Lancia Ypsilon was made to be a car for everyday use, with a touch of Italian spirit, a taste for beautiful and well-made things, and a pinch of craftsmanship typical of our beautiful country.

The Lancia Ypsilon, an elegant and stylish city car, was called the small flagship right away because it had features usually only found in more expensive cars, especially inside. It was the first small car to bring style and elegance to the small town segment because it was the first design car in this category.

After all, the Lancia Ypsilon has a clear and unique place in the market: fashion is its natural environment, and style has always been the main reason to buy it. But most importantly, the model has always been able to stay current and relevant by responding to and anticipating customer needs. Lancia Ypsilon has permanently changed, but it has always retained its identity. Instead, it has added "shades of personality" with its many special series and new products.

And the new Lancia MY 2023, which just came out, makes the Lancia Ypsilon even better, more connected, and more stylish.

CEO of the Lancia brand Luca Napolitano said, "I am thrilled with the business results of the Lancia brand and with the work done by the Italian team under the direction of Raffaele Russo." "The results we get make us want to keep getting better. Our Renaissance has started, and we are working to make Lancia a desirable, respected, and trustworthy brand again in the European premium market."
